can anyone ID this Summit?


 
That is a Summit 450. I have the exact grill but with black lid and side burner. I found it on craigslist a few years ago. When I was calling Weber to get a couple small parts for it the lady asked me about it. I told her how I got it for $50 and it was in pretty good shape. She commented that when new it sold close to $2000 and that in her opinion they were the best Summits they ever made. While I cannot attest to last statement I can say it is a beast. It gets hot and it is very even. Overall a wonderful grill.
 
Thanks! I have a chance at that one for $150. Not sure to do, it needs a little care and a few parts from the pictures.
 
Same story as LMichaels. I bought my Summit 450 in August, 2002 for $1780 as it was closing out in preparation for the 2003 models. A buddy at Weber said, "buy the 2002 because the 2003 will feel cheap by comparision". And he was right.

It's been a great grill. I've refurbed it a couple of times in 11 years and still going strong.
