Hi.

Smoking a 2lb meatloaf this afternoon for dinner tonight. It's 80/20 minced beef & 70/30 minced pork.

Now, from what the Mav tells me, I think this is going to be done a couple of hours before we eat. I will pull it at 160f IT. I'm smoking at 235f grill temp.

$64K question.

Can I foil it and wrap in towels and into a cooler? Will it dry out?

Ok, That's a $128K question(s).

Thank you for your help.

I've never wrapped it, but have reheated in a crock pot the next day for potlucks at work (never dried out). I would probably pull it from the smoker at 150 internal. If you do wrap it, it will continue to cook

Tony, I would pull it at 150 to 155 then wrap in foil and towels and it should be fine. When I do mine I just wrap in foil and let it set. Hope this works for you and if you have any other questions just ask. Enjoy Barb.

Thanks Bill & Barb.

It's still cooking, 5 hrs in! Now at 145f.
It stalled forever @ 135f, (I'm thinking because of the 70/30 pork). So I went to the pub around the corner to watch the game.
Came back home and opened the lower vents to 11. So much for me thinking it would be ready too early.
What do I know?
Gonna go to 160f, rest for 10 minutes, then eat!!
