Are these just aesthetic or do they work to seal in heat/smoke better then the stock doors?

I just received mine. Where can I get a handle? I took the old handle off and the insert that goes I. The handle came out. I superglued it, and that didn't hold for long. I called Weber and they'll send me a whole door, with the latch. I just want to buy a latch. Any help would be appreciated.
