Just installed my new Cajun Bandit SS door today. Does anyone know if this will make a difference in temp? (meaning is it going to get hotter faster or uh...?)
Aaron, it just depends on how tight it fits, compared to your original door. The tighter the fit, the lower your temps might run. I don't see how there would be much difference due to the difference in materials or thickness.
I have one on my 22 WSM. I think it creates a better seal. This was especially important to me since I also use a Digi-Q. The less air leakage means the more the thermostat is in control of the temperature of the WSM. I also got the larger charcoal ring to really extend my total cook time without refueling.
