Buying used WSM - what to look for?

Hey all. I have found a really good price on a WSM on kijiji, but before I go look at it what should I be looking out for?

The seller says it is a year old, only has done 10 cooks on it and the outside is in good shape. No pics of any real value to help assess its condition.

When I bought mine used I looked at overall condition and made sure all the parts were intact. basically I would look at the condition of the enamel and make sure no major scratches or dents dings etc.

Make sure the bowl fits to the mid section and the mid sections fits to the top, pretty snug. All the other stuff is cosmetic. Make sure it doesn't wobble.

I've got a 18, 22.5, and a new 14.5. My 18 has the loosest fit of all models. My 22 fits together like somebody superglued it. The new 14.5 is just getting started but fits pretty snug. I know everybody is different so use your best judgement. All 3 sections should fit together pretty easily just remember that.

Ditto what Jake said...if it's a cheap price it's easy to overlook cosmetic stuff but if it's a bit pricy and see major damages then you have the advantage to offer a lower price. Just my opinion. Good luck. Tell us how it went.

Well thanks everyone. It is true that wsm's don't last long on kijiji. Before I was able to go see the used WSM it sold.

But the story does not end here. Today I went a bought a brand new WSM 22.5. And tomorrow I have two racks of baby backs for my first smoke.
