Butt felt frozen on the very outer layer

Wife picked up two butts. The butcher had to get them from the back. Both looked great. One felt like the outer layer was starting to freeze when I trimmed it up and rubbed it. Neither said "previously frozen" or were frozen at any point according to the butcher. It wasn't frozen solid or anything like that. It was "pliable" when I would squeeze it. But there were a few icicles formed on the very outer layer. I trimmed both up and put them on the smoker a few minutes ago. I put the colder one on the bottom rack. Any reason to be alarmed or worried? Anything I should do or watch out for during this smoke? Thanks

No worries that I can think of.
I've cooked them so frozen (from my own freezer) that I put mustard on them so the rub would hold, and they were just fine.
Might take a little longer, but I doubt it if barely frozen.

Turned out great!
