Burner Screws

Would those fit the Drip Pan slide rail holes?

Those screws on the end of the burners are not supposed to be removed. But, I get it, sometimes it is necessary.

Good question Bruce. I will check on my Genesis Silver whenever I get around to stripping and painting it. I cannot remember where I found the thread size, I bought, but I believe it was a Weber grill diagram for the burners.
I like to remove the burner screws because they are always rusted and worn often time, I have to remove them anyways because the original owners make the mistake of tightening them all the way down.

Edit:
Bruce if you like I can send you some and you can test them. I believe i just ordered a 100 pack.

Thank you, Samuel. 12 bucks might buy you 3 or 4 if you order from Weber😳!

I am tempted but will see if you get a chance to try them out soon.

I have never been able to get a burner tube screw out of a 1,1000, silver cookbox. But I’ve always been able to get the tubes free. I also haven’t snapped a head off because that is the most likely scenario.

I have definitely struggled to get burner tubes out from underneath the bolts in the cookbox. Sometimes they are really stuck in there with all the grease and whatever. I have always managed to get them out without removing the bolts or even loosening them. It will try your patience though.

I think copper antisieze is still sold.

But, it isn't recommended for use with aluminum as it can lead to galvanic corrosion.
I see from looking at the bottle of antiseize made by Permatex it says made for aluminum right on the front of the bottle. Thanks Dan.
