Such a simple build. Plan to break it in and then make some Memorial day grub on it. I have some things I might add down the road (extra grates new temp gauge) but it'll work as is.
I've got less than $60 into this including the used Smokey Joe gold. Can't beat that.
I'm looking forward to building mine in the next few weeks. I have my SJS but not the the pot. Finding it in the great white north has been impossible. So I've just ordered it through Wally World USA and it's being shipped to a Niagara Falls store for my pick up in the next few weeks. Hopefully, in the next few weeks I will post pics of my build and I'm pretty excited about it.

Lit it up at lunch time today to see if it'll still be going when I get home in about 30 min. I really just wanted to let it burn everything off before I make some wings on it tonight.
Cooked some hotdogs on just the sjg today. Put about 1/3 a chimney in there lit. That was at 5pm. I put the steamer pot on and shut the vents down to about half way. It's been holding 250ish with no meat in it for about two hours. I'm impressed with that little bit of charcoal how long it's been Trucking along. Making abts to bring to a cook out tomorrow so be on the lookout for those pics
