Buffalo Chicken Lollipops

Today my fiancee and I made chicken lollipops. Its basically chicken wings where the meat is all one one side, just like a lollipop. The extra work in prep is definitely rewarded when you are eating them. Oour version was battered and fried with panko chips, then dipped in a Buffalo sauce. Enjoy!

Trimmed.

It's like a mini-club of Chicken!

I used a cup to dip into the batters and sauce. It works much better for the shape of the pop. Keeping the bone clean allows you to grasp it while eating with the mess of normal wings.

Skipped a few steps, but this is after the batter, panko and fry:

I really have to work on my plating!

Thanks for looking!

The whole "lollipop" thing is cool and you picture it well. I have a shore trip coming up with family and I'll be doing some of these for certain.

Nice work!

Very Nice Lawrence!
I've made these many years ago when i saw the television program by Jacques... he made it look sooo easy and i had a helova time making mine look like his OR yours for that matter!

Hi Jim, Yeah Jacques made it look so easy! I got the hang of it with a knife after the 4th or 5th one but his method of popping off the wingtip seems so much better.

Jacques is the master. True that! Lawrence, I double checked to see if these were done on a grill, but never mind. Nothing beats the occasional deep-fry. I've gotta try those chic pops. Beautifully done.
