That is really top notch. Where did you find those brackets? I can see plenty of uses for stuff like that
Thanks Larry!
Absolutely would have a lot of uses. I bought extra and I was thinking about doing some shelving in my garage kind of like a temporary work bench that I could fold up and down. They make different sizes of these also.

Yeah you just pull up the table and the spring locks them in place. They seem quite sturdy. Then just pinch the lever and drop it down. They seem to work quite well. I'm going to repaint mine as well as the brackets I made when I do the rest of the grill for further rust and corrosion prevention.

I’m more impressed with the homemade brackets! Bending flat stock so precisely isn’t a small task.

The angles are what I’m most impressed by!
To be honest to Cody I've been putting it off for a while. I've been thinking about how and what I want to do and was a bit nervous that I was going to screw up and waste my flat stock. I also originally thought I was going to have to weld them to make them strong enough but ended up bending them in such a way and configuration that they are actually quite strong without welding. The flat stock wasn't expensive I just don't like to waste. I'm just glad it ended up turning out the way I envisioned it.

Josh, the lid handles on that grill are the exact same as the one that was on the BM that I redid. I have not seen very many that used that style of handle. Maybe they were only used for one or two years.
Interesting Bruce! I've seen some other BM grills with the small wood handle on one side like these but the wood was so deteriorated I couldn't tell what it originally looked like but it didn't appear to be the same shape as these.
I'm considering trying to turn a new set on a lathe out of Brazilian walnut but the ones I have are in pretty good shape so maybe I can stain them close enough to match my wood table/shelf.

I originally wanted to do a one piece wood slab for the table/shelf to look more period Correct but I don't have anything on hand wide enough at least in the Brazilian walnut I prefer to use. I could make a Brazilian walnut butcher block style gluing pieces together and sanding them down to appear to be one solid piece also. The three equal size slats that I have cut for it don't bother me though and it isn't exactly period Correct but slats is what they went to later like Jon's double BM.

My friend's in MN has the single wood handle. Last time we were there and I was cooking on it, can't tell you how many times I came close to burning myself badly because I kept grabbing the lid not realizing no handle
