Brand New test burn


 
Once the burners get dirtied up a bit, the temps will probably drop slightly, but not much. Let us know how you like the new grill after you get a chance to use it some. I just did a test burn on my Silver B that I just finished restoring. It burried the needle on the 600 degree thermometer.
 
I wanted to check the temp on my old blue Genesis recently because the standard side mounted thermometers on the older Geneisis top out at 550. So I stuck the probe of my Thermoworks Dot through that notch for the rotisserie. It topped out at 700 since the thermometer cannot handle more. I need to find a thermometer which can handle more because I think that old Genesis goes higher than 700.
 
Yah, my thermoworks smoke that has the remote probes will max out at 700 when I put the probe on the grates with the burners on full.
