So the aerospace engineer is home from University of Maryland after being in finals the past two weeks. I promised him something nice. Got the WSM going for a higher heat cook (350ish) using Royal Oak Lump

Meanwhile the CEO is carrying on a tradition brought over from Italy by my Grandmother, a cookie handed down to her from her grandmother. They are called Cialucci ( little bird ) they are the best cookie I have ever eaten and they don't last long around here.

Another masterpiece is right Bill! Just a fantastic looking cook! I plan on doing a 2 bone rib roast for my wife and I
for Christmas dinner. I hope mine comes out half as good as yours look!

That looks great. I have the same bone in roast but a 8lb one to do Christmas eve and hope it looks 1//2 as good as yours. Was going to do on smoker but my grills got stolen so its going on my kettle.

If you dont mind me asking you said higher heat at 350 but about how long did it take to get to 127? Might help me plan a bit better. I bet your son was glad to be home to a good home cooked meal like that.

Dear Bill,

And here I was, pretty proud of what I did on the grill today. Thanks to you I don't feel as proud anymore.

That prime rib looks awesome and I'll bet those cookies are awesome too! Some things just taste better done the old way. That was a neat story about the handmade rolling pin, no doubt it makes a difference.

Merry Christmas,

Tim Murphy;)

Oh my, Bill!! That is one incredible looking roast!!!! I'd love to try one of those cookies too. You and the CEO hit a home run on this one.!!!

Man, I would love one slice of that beautiful roast, one of your wife's even more beautiful cookies, and two fingers of the Blanton's! Are you sure that rolling pin isn't a wackin' stick to keep you in line, Bill?

gotta tell ya Bill, your "CEO" has got a lotta patience with you...
