BLT dinner night

I made a batch of bacon recently.
I cold smoked it for 10 hours at 75-90 degrees then increased the temp to 150 for a couple hours to finish it off.
So tonight we had BLT’s for dinner and hosted 6 guests.
We joked that it was a BLT party and had a great time 👍.
But what really happened was soon as some of our friends found out we were going to eat BLT’s for dinner they invited themselves.
One of our friends even brought a home made pie from her orchard and dayummmm.
Here are some pics.

Heavens does that bacon look good.....the flat top without a doubt, and it sounds silly but it definitely improves all bacon.
Looks amazing.....if you give us enough heads up I am sure we can invite ourselves next time as well.........
Grocery store ( pumped full of water ) bacon is hard to improve though.........

"One of our friends even brought a home made pie from her orchard and dayummmm."

Was that an apple pie?

Joan, I think it was plumb pie because that is in season right now.
Her orchard has plumb and pear trees and they are amazingly good.
I don’t recall ever having that type of pie before and I seconds on it.
