I came across a good friend yesterday that supplies me with a lot of my wood for smoking. He told me that he had quite a bit of Black Walnut for me if I wanted it. The question is, I'm not sure if it is a good wood to use for smoking meats. If any of you have ever used it or know anything about it, I sure would be thankful if you could send some (much needed) info my way.
