Wooden Dowel. Now I need to measure up a donor leg to cover the dowel. I've done it a couple times now. Looks good when it's done.

Larger wheels are the easiest way to gain height! I did that and sistered in some short length of pipe into the outer legs for leveling, easy peasy!

Larger diameter is a nice up-gear too which means you get there faster!
