Beef Teriyaki

Couple folks been asking, so here's my sanctuary. Put this in a little over two years ago; granite top with a 26.75 kettle and a 22.5 WSM. The kettle gets lots of work since I can smoke or grill with it. If the whole "gang" comes over, then I fire up the WSM with 5 racks of ribs and a couple tri tips or whatever.

Firing up the chimney for today's cook.

Chuck steak in Soy Vay Island Style marinade. Love this stuff.

On the grill.

Got a bag of broccoli stir fry and #2 son sliced up some jalapenos and an Anaheim chili pepper from our herb garden to throw in with them. Good to have a sous chef!

Veggies on the grill.

And plated with rice. Haven't figured out how to do good rice on the Weber. Rice cookers are just too good!

My Chargers are down right now, so I'm going to sign off to root for them!!

Love the sanctuary. The fact that you're living in San Diego helps too. ;)
Great looking beef teriyaki dinner. As far as the rice goes, stick with the rice cooker! :p

Very nice, Dale...!!! Your set up is fantastic. And so is that meal. I too am a big fan of the Island Teriyaki. And I'm with Gary…stick with the rice cooker!

Is that a fridge to the right of the Kettle?!? San Diego, outdoor kitchen from Heaven and a fridge? Next thing we know you'll be rocking a 55" flat screen out there with surround sound, it's almost too much to bare...

Awesome looking stuff man! And yeah, I don't think that rice would ever turn out right on the ole grill since you don't have that great of control over the heat. Quick rice may work since you just boil it for 5 mins and done, but real rice (Only kind to eat really!) wouldn't turn out so good I figure. Once again, awesome looking stuff man.

beautiful set up you have Dale! AWESOME!! I'd l♥ve to cook in comfortable surrounds like that...

and your dinner plate is as Gorgeous! Very Nice!!!

Thanks for the comments folks!

Hey JimH, yup fridge over there. I gotta say the only thing it gets used for is holding beer. Not that it's a bad thing.... No TV in the plans, but there are two speakers that are rockin' when I'm grillin'. So far no complaints from the neighbors (at least about that.)

Hey Shane, no ventilation issues. As you can see I keep the doors open below the kettle when grilling. Lid therm gets well over 500 and I take full advantage when I sear beef!

Hey Dave, sorry no construction pics. Happy to answer questions you might have.
