Beef ribs. To foil or not to foil....

I'm new to beer ribs but currently do 325 for 1h 15m, foil for 1h 15m, then back on the smoker for 30m.

I've never seen beef ribs as nice as the ones Josh McDowell did

! Maybe if we ask him nice he will share his method with us??

Gary, thank you for your kind words! It was my first time making them, so I am not sure how great I am at them.

I posted above my method (copied below). I would say it's important to look at the pictures of mine, because they were very thick. My uncle had made some a couple months back that were much thinner and did not take as long.

I smoked at 275° for 4-5 hrs, foiled till tender, back on for about 15 minutes to set, and then a 20 minute rest.

My thanks as well for the post, Josh. I've got a RD membership and I've got to smoke some beef ribs sometime. All I've ever cooked is the ones from the store that were 90% bone, and I won't be doing that again.

I don't think I have ever seen beef ribs cut like that, not with that much meat. Cetainly not in any of the stores around here or at the Costcos in Ontario.

We don't have a Restaurant Depot. Sorry Josh I did see your post on how you cooked them...just lost my head over the spell those cooked ribs put on me
