New to this, question is can I put a pan of beans below while I'm smoking ribs, or will there be to much grease? And if yes can they be there same amount of time as ribs cook?
I shoot for 6-8 hours when smoking beans. Yes, I've had a very bad experience under a greasy brisket. The fat layer completely prevented my expected evaporation loss, and the beans really never cooked through. In short, avoid dripping fat, anything else is good.
