My brother has been training some people down in Atlanta, and wanted to come visit Pammi and myself. I told him sure! Bring your young self up here!
After a trip east to go see our mom,we went back to my place. Wanting to be a good host,I offered to cook him a nice dinner. Since I had a whole chicken thawed,BCC it was!

This is it,seasoned with McClard's rub and my last can of beer. No worries,I had bottles to imbibe from! I also put some fresh herbs into the beer;rosemary, thyme and oregano.
After about a half an hour, the power went out. The whole neighborhood! Pammi's potatoes for tater salad were not done,so onto the OTS they went!

That did the trick!
After dinner,Ted,my brother, pulls a bottle of bourbon out! Yep,it's gonna be one of those evenings!

This is MUCH later! Man,oh man,let me tell you,we both felt like a million dollars the next day. Ya know, kind of green and wrinkled! But we survived somehow. Ted made it safely back to Atlanta, and I cooked something that night. Don't remember what, but it was pretty good! Thanks for looking!

Oh brother looks like you had the time of your life if you can't remember any details...lol

Sounds like a great cook Phil, what you remember about it. Sounds like many a night with a good friend or family for me. Good for you.
Brings to mind a personal favorite of mine, Changes in latitudes changes in attitudes. Ran into a chum with a bottle of rum, wound up drinking all night.

Thats what I love about having a large supply of charcoal. No matter what happens if the power goes out at least i'll be able to cook. Havn't found anything that I can't cook on the kettle or smoker. Sounds like you had a good evening.
