Okay, first let me say that this may be an oxymoron, but.....does anyone have an idea of what the nutritional content of pork BBQ is ?

I'm going to be sharing some BBQ with my co-workers, many of whom have never seen BBQ and think that "barbeque" is how you cook a hamburger. Without scaring them off, I'd like to be able to give them an idea of how many calories, fat grams, etc....per serving.

I'll probably do the usual pork butt, cooked to at least 190 degrees. Obviously a lot of the fat renders out, but how much is left behind ?? I suspect that the final product is slightly fatty, but maybe not too much.....Anyone have any ideas ?? /infopop/emoticons/icon_confused.gif

I think that they'll like it once they try it, but if not then I get to eat the leftovers !

Thanks !

Hi Allan!

Here is what I would do......

Go to your local supermarket and check the pre-packaged pork products. Many now carry the shredded pork from both KC Masterpiece or Lloyd's or some other brand. That will list everything you need. Even pre-cooked ribs will give you a good idea.

Keep in mind, all of those products are heavy with sauce and the sauce is very sweet.
