BBQ Guru vs E-Temp

I'm considering upgrading from my E-Temp to the full-blown (pun intended) BBQ Guru with "ramp mode". Is it worth the upgrade? Does anyone actually use ramp mode?

Sorry, I know there have already been threads about this, I want an updated opinion.

P.S. I already have a Maverick ET-73 used to monitor meat temp.

Wow, its been a while since i have posted..good to be back...but its busy time for me at work...Neways you you check out and do a search cuz there are many diff threads on this topic, like you said..

Neways...its works really really well if you need to go to work and leave your meat on the wsm for a while and dont want it to dry out......thats how i use it

I've only used the ramp mode when I needed to extend the cook time (finishing faster than I thought) or as Mords said if you have to leave the WSM unattended. I don't personally think it would be worth an upgrade if your E-Temp is working.
