So last weekend I fire up the 18, full chimney, minion method, temps got up to 225, I put the ribs on, then temp dropped, came out 45 minutes, later, temp at 180, wth? I open the door, put the guru on hoping to get temps up, after 30 more minutes, only 200 with all vents open, the door off and guru blowing. I was using some of the last 13.9lb bags from last year. Said screw it fired up the 22 with new KBB, up to 250 in 20 mins, and finished the cook. Trashed the13.9 lb bags. Not sure what they issue was buying had this issue last summer also. I now keep all the new KBB in the back of my explorer (3rd car) it stays hot and dry. I just hope it does not become the "exploder" with 240lbs of charcoal in the back.
