Bacon Wrapped Scallops and 'Gus

Had a few cooks since my last post, but they were all the same as previous posts (tri tip, ribs, pork loin, and the like.) Plus cooks on here lately have been wonderful, and I didn't feel worthy, so I didn't post them! Today Surfer Dude picked up sea scallops from Point Loma Seafood for us and our visiting niece from Tennessee. Started with some slow cooked bacon (40 minutes or so.)

Surfer Dude and the niece helped wrapping the scallops with bacon and skewering them. EVOO and Old Bay standing by.

Seasoned and ready for grilling.

But first, asparagus seasoned with KS&P, garlic herb and EVOO.

Then onto the grill.

'Gus off to the side, so the scallops go on for a sear.

Just a few minutes indirect.

Off and plated.

Outstanding looking meal! Dale!! Scallops are my favorite seafood item. I am also ashamed to admit that I have never made it to Point Loma Seafood. It is one of those things I keep saying I'm gonna go one day bit never have.
