Asiago everything bread

My mom gave us a basket full of King Arthur baking goods, a stone baking bowl and a recipe for Christmas. I finally was able to make that recipe today.

I bought us a Raiseene proofing mat. Our house is always cold and it makes proofing a pain. Yes I’ve used all the tricks with the oven, hot water in a box etc. This product is a game changer for bread making.
It says you can set it on any surface and place your bowl on top to proof. I had two bowls so I placed it my plastic tote proofing box. It worked awesome!

The bread turned out great.

Man, that bread looks delicious, Case!! I like your proofer mat, too. I've got a Brod & Taylor proofing box, which I really like, but your proofing mat would be more versatile in that you could use different containers depending on how much bread you've got to proof! Nice little gadget there.....

Thank you Rich!

I’ve been looking at all kinds of proffers for quite some time. This one just caught my eye. Doesn’t even need to be used in a box but I had two bowls to proof so put it in my cheap plastic tote that I use.

They say you can just put it on the counter and set your bow of dough on top. Next time I have a single batch I’ll give
It a try. I do like using the box though so I can control moisture too. I drilled a small hole in the box to allow the cord to go through.

The mat is a bit spendy but I’m glad I got it.
