Appearance of inside of Silver C Black Lid

All,

Has anyone ever seen this look on the inside of a lid. I scraped and scrubbed with 0000 steel wool and simple green but it almost looks like the porcelain is fractured? Hopefully you can see from the pics what I am talking about.

Bobby: You got that clean. I find that on many lids. Not usually as bad as that though. I am not sure if it is a factory defect or something that sometimes happens to the inside of the lids. I never see that on the outside.
Nothing you can do about it.

Thanks Bruce, fortunately it's not real visible. The outside came out almost new.

I think it is heat over time. It doesn't scrape away and appears to be in the porcelean layer.

You don't see it until you put the work in to clean the lid.
