it seems fine to me. i scrubbed it down and gave it a good rinse. im about to set a big fire in it to burn the 'grease' residue. the 'grease' was in a bag, but there was still some in there and on the lid.
all ready drilled holes. 3 - 1" air intakes, with cut off air with fridge magnets. 4 -1/4" holes to grate mount, and 4 - 4" holes for charcoal grate mount. drill holes for handles. vertical mount. and punched 4 - 3/4" holes in lid for exhaust.
will add another grill grate 1.75" from top when i get a Weber lid too. might add grate for heat deflector(pizza stone) in future.
will use same size charcoal ring in WSM 22.5, made of expanded metal, bolted together.
do all those 55 gal drums have that seam on the interior? am i ok to burn this things out?
thanks
