Another Saturday Sammie

Seems like I don't get much time to grill anymore with college football going on. I do enjoy watching my team play while enjoying a good sandwich and beer, in the past I would go out to a sports bar, however no one can make a good tasting sandwich. While at the store this morning I grabbed some smoked/cooked sausage and some fresh rolls. I also got some of my favorite cheese which is a horseradish cheddar.

Put the sausages on with two mesquite chunks.

I let those warm up for about 30 minutes, then I went a little more direct, to get some char on those dawgs.

Time to add the cheese and warm up the buns.

I've got another one if anyone wants it.

The beer was a new one for me, I like several beers from this brewery and this one did not disappoint at all, a nice brown ale that was sweet but not too sweet.

Today I will be firing up the WSM for a citrus marinated butt.

I hope you all enjoy your Sunday.

James I will take it!! I love this post!!! Been thinking a lot about my ole man lately (passed several years ago now) but he use to make me Sammie's like this when I was a kid!!

Love it James!! Great pics and Sammie's!

Wow man, that really looks gooood! I'm gonna have to try that. Congrats on the pic of the week!

Wow,. Beautiful looking sausage sandwiches ....love the idea of the horseradish cheddar cheese. And the mustard garlic aioli? I'm in. And you're right. You won't get something that great in your average sports bar.
