When I used to use a rack (I coil them now), I just propped a toothpick (the round ones are stiffer) between them (no need to stick it in). As it cooks, it'll stay apart naturally).

B Brian_D TVWBB Pro Jan 28, 2016 #3 Thanks, I'll try those. I've been using flat toothpicks - it takes ALOT of them because they are weak & they are hard to find after the cook is over.
