Today is December 18th.

15 years ago today my lovely wife went into labor and my sons Andrew and Daniel were delivered via emergency C-section six weeks premature.
They each stayed in the IICU for about 30 days before coming home and causing their mom and dad months of significant sleep deprivation.

We would both gladly endure all of the hardship again as long as we wound up with the same two boys who have so richly blessed our lives.

Here's a pic of the boys when they were around 1. Daniel is on the left, Andrew on the right.



And here they are now with their mom on the first day of school this year. Daniel on the left and Andrew on the right.



We are so very proud of the young men they have become.

Congrats Clark, good looking men you've raised! Don't envy anyone spending any time in ICU (be it IICU in your case or PICU in our case) we were in Oakland's Children's in 1997 starting mid-Oct and got out Christmas Eve. Hemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS e coli) was our fight for our then 1.5 y/o son (now 18)
 
Congrats on the happy looking family Clark. How old do the boys need to be before they each get the keys to a yacht from the club? :-)
