Almost finished fixing up a platinum-c genesis (2000?)

Yah, good point Brian B. It helps to use a degreaser before spraying the paint. Brake cleaning solvent works well for degreasing.

It was degreased with lots of brake cleaner and sanded with 2000 grit before that. I probably assembled too quickly after. I think I can get the krylon at Lowe’s

600 wet dry would be fine a lot more bite for the paint to grab onto actually think 400 would be enough. Does not take much to damage fresh rattle can paint unfortunately.

On a side note, what model would this be? With the drop down tables on each side, I don’t know if this is still a 2xxx or a 3xxx or a 4xxx

Here she is. New 7638 cast grates, new 7506 burners, new igniter and some cedar

I was going to cut them individually, but I was pressed for time and 1x6 cedar was cheap (even clear grade wasn’t bad)

...so you will let me have them for the cost of shipping? If so, i will PM you.

Hey, if you want them they’re yours. I won’t throw them out. This is Canada though... MA to Canada would be about a million dollars, so I’m not sure how the other direction is.

Keep in mind they’re not perfect. One set has a pretty good griddle mark on them
