Aldi Cooks' Brand Charcoal, 8 pounds for $2.99. Anyone tried this? (Now $1.99)

You've gone through a lot of Charcoal...are your cooks that long/that often or do you find you have to use more of this brand to get the same time as other brands? Then again....maybe it's so cheap it doesn't matter???
I cook a good bit... I feel like I use equal amount of this as others. The bags are really small though, only 8 lbs so like two Weber large Chimneys and I am hitting the bottom of the bag. I really like the small bag it is easy to through around. I haven't tried to reuse any, wait that is a lie, I reuse the charcoal on the right side of this picture worked perfect. This was after an 8 hour cook. However, I don't reuse on normal days which does me I go through more then I could.

With Cooks being made in Indonesia, I was curious to find out what they mainly use for making charcoal. It seems coconut shells are very common there for charcoal products.
I think it's very possible that Cooks is made from coconut shells. It would explain the mild smell, and slowish start up. I still have an old bag of Coshell, maybe I can compare the two.
Also, when Cooks charcoal is Googled one hit is WalMart, but when you click it shows a bag of Coshell, out of stock. For whatever that's worth.

Bob that would make sense to me. When I recently used it for a low and slow, my youngest daughter and I both agreed it did not smell like anything else I had ever used on low and slow. Also the ash has a tan hue to it that I have never seen. I am starting to have mix feelings about this stuff, I don't have any complaints, cooks just fine, but I am missing the charcoal taste and smell from others I have been using regularly lately. I am going to be inspired by your pic and load up on some Cowboy, but also go back to Aldi and if they have move pick up more and then I can mix and match.
