Alder Smoked chrimp´s

Wolgast

TVWBB Olympian
Made this before...But then i have tryed with a small fire choked. Witch will still keep the temps to high to let em be in the smoke for a longer time without being chewy. This time With a small snake(choked..bottom/top 25% opend)
Cant get these fresh so these are boiled right after they are cought and then frozen....Thats why i have a problem with the smoke.

Ok let go:

So here they are thawned.

Ready to be kissed by the smoke:

30 min:

For some reasson i thought the lightning(almost sundown) would be perfect to shoot without a flash. Guess what its hard to tell the different from the "fresh" and the smoked shoot. And after dinner(witch is right about now) I upploaded the pic´s and got angry @ myself for not taking a few more. Couse they looked great. And the last pic was dull aswell.

Anyways 1h and pulled:

Ready to be served:

Even though the pics is not the greatest...Let me tell ya...This is worth making. Served side by side with a bowl of fresh ones, and they were so dull in comparison. What i would change: I would do a super fast brine with a high salt%. Other then that its a freaking winner.

Hope you try this even if this post is not that convincing.

Thanks for your time ppl! :)

Are you kidding? One of the best photos I've seen lately here, Dan.

And, this post is really convincing!

Shrimps look very delicious. Very good work my friend.

Beautiful pics in my opinion.... My crappy Iphone pics don't compare to yours. Got to try your cook. Thanks for sharing and have a great weekend.

Dude, you killed it everything's clean and top notch. Love me some skrimps off the boat.

Magnificent!!

Great to see another post from you DannyBuddy! Hope you're cutting down on those long hours slaving away AWAY from home...
I always look forward to your posts... and certainly this one is GRAND as your others!

And I must say serving dinner in your fashion is one thing I must improve on...

From my perspective, your pictures do not mistake, but here are a few tips Dan:
- Try to outshine scene
- Use circular polarized filter - It does amazing things with reflections
- Try to edit photos using a photo editor
- Don´t use flash - never (almost never;))
