Acorn Squash

Has anyone done winter squash on the WSM? Pumpkin pie?

I'll be cooking our Thanksgiving meal on Saturday (because of work) and would like to do the whole thing on the WSM.

Tony,
Have not done Pumpkin Pie, but have done winter squash. I think its better to do it without much wood and I typically ran the WSM at higher temps with the turkey (I use no wood when I do the turkey).

Thanks! I was thinking of doing the squash with the turkey, so temps would be hopefully in the 325-350 range. I'll put it on after the smoke is basically gone, but thought a hint of smoke might work. My sister-in-law makes a squash recipe that includes bacon and the smokiness of the bacon is really good with the sweetness of the squash.

Pumpkin pie will cook inside because I love the smell!
