access door knob

Hello gents,
I just recieved my new door from cajun bandit
and I was trying to get the knob off my old door but I cant seem to get a wrench on the nut because the clearance is so thin. Do I need to turn that nut or is there a better way?
 
Which style WSM do you have?
Round knob should be no problem, but the new style door handles have a threaded insert that very easily strips out when re-applying to the stainless steel door.
I can tell you it will fall apart when you least expect it to.

I have the older model WSM with the round door knob. It was so tight and gunked up that it did not want to break free but with persistence I eventually got it off. My new door needed a little bendin' n fudgin' to make it fit properly. Love the new look... now if only my new thermometer would show up.
