ABT / frozen jalapeno question

So I've never done ABTs and was going to do some this sat with the crowd coming over for the Kentucky derby. I have a bunch of frozen whole jalapenos from my garden and was planning on using those. I've read on the interwebs that frozen jalapenos when thawed get mushy. do you guys think it will turn into a hot mess and potentially fall apart after I cook them on the WSM? I plan on stuffing them with a cream cheese / jack and chedder blend and wrapping them in bacon.

I would go with fresh. I froze some whole ones before and they thawed out mushy. I'd save em for salsa not ABT's.

most if not all of my frozen peppers thaw mushy. IMO only good for chili, etc but never "on their own".

well it's not as though jalapenos are expensive. guess i'll go with the fresh. thanks guys

I'm with everyone else - here's another idea for your frozen jalapenos:

I got this for some reason & really liked it.

For future reference , I blanch my peppers first , then stuff and into the freezer . They are never mushy and I have poppers at my finger tips all year long .
