Sorry Bill, It was me! I saw it Sunday and have always loved the body style but never seen one with glass doors, even showed my wife and she agreed it was cool. On Tuesday came on here to research restoration tricks just for fun, then saw this thread specifically about the one i was looking at. Had to jump on it. I live in Stockton, but happened to be in Emeryville when i reached out, so had to sneak out early to make the hour drive so I could be home as if nothing happened (wife still doesnt know). The whole car ride there I planned to talk her down to $200, she asked me to wear a mask, I understood, she was waiting for me in the drive way, checked it out, she said original owner, but noticed she had trouble opening things showing me the extras so i figured she didnt know what she had, and right when I was going to try and bargain, out came her mother likely in her 80s, maybe 90s, no mask - and excited to show me all the bells and whistles, then told me shed even throw in some cookbooks. At this point I could tell she loved it, and learned her husband helped clean it, but too tired to come outside to help. I knew they were going to miss it, and its going to be a keeper for me, so at this point I didnt mind paying what they were asking for. Cover is nice, full tank, both ignitors work perfectly, fire box could use a deeper cleaning, a few rustly clips here and there, but otherwise nice. Will def need painting, and staining.
