I've been wanting to bake a pie for a long time, so when Pi day came up I had to give it a try.
A while ago I watched BBQ Pit Boys bake a chocolate cherry pie that sounded good enough for me to try it out.
I went to Big Bird's to get what I needed for my pie, and next thing you know I had a cart full.
Hurriedly I came home and pulled out the Spirit, Performer, and my grill cart. I unloaded the car and got all set.
I started by getting the brazed onions on.
While those were going I started beans.
I pulled the beans off the Spirit and moved them to the Performer along with the ribs.
Now it was time to work on the pie. I used store bought pie dough, cherry pie filling, and semi sweet dark chocolate chunks.
I pulled the onions.
Then the pie.
Your going to have to take my word on this, everything was very good. By the time I got all the food inside I was so hungry I forgot to take a plated picture.
