4th of July Party

HI all,
We throw a 4th of July family fun style party every year at our cabin in Washington.
If any of you are in the neighborhood you are welcome to stop on by.
We are located on the water right across from Vancouver Island a couple hours NW of Seattle.

It’s not a big thing or anything like that, maybe 15-20 or so people.
Lots and lots of good food (crab season starts 7/1), a good view to lots of large fireworks, kayaking and possibly some trap shooting.

We keep it rated PG because we enjoy having it kid friendly.
I don’t drink or smoke but there will be alcohol.

Andy.

Thanks Andy! My dad taught me to shoot trap when I was 7, at Maywood Sportsmens Club
near Elmhurst IL.

Trap shooting - because fireworks aren't loud enough.
Hey, that's how the 4th is celebrated around here, too!

Sounds like a lot of fun. Hope you all have a great time! 😀

That’s weird I thought everyone shot trap on the 4th right before supper and cocktails :).

On prepping our trap pigeons we only use steel shot.
I eat from this property and am not to fond of lead in my diet.

Our area is large enough that guns are safe and don’t make much noise.

Life is a bit different up here when it comes to some things.
We are encouraged to harvest deer and elk when they are hit by cars. That keeps taxes down and is a win win situation.
We can shoot anywhere deemed safe.
My local gun store tells me it is considered neighborly to use a suppressor.
$51.00 gets you a “shall issue” concealed pistol permit for 3 years if you are not a nut or felon.
We can hunt on our property if we want but truth be told I’m not really a hunter or a gun nut.
I’m just a Dad and hopefully a GrandDad soon.

Andy.

I was kidding about the trap shoot, but some of my
neighbors like to celebrate with firearms. It gets VERY
loud around here between that and the fireworks. 😀
