26” rotisserie options

Hello, I recently swapped my 22” kettle for a 26” and am trying to figure out a rotisserie setup. Classic predicament it seems. I’ve searched exhaustively online (including similar older threads on this and other forums).
The Cajun Bandit is out of stock (I emailed and they said it won’t be back for the foreseeable future), the Etsy options (ie spitfire rotisserie) likewise out of stock, and I came across a couple Canadian sites but they don’t ship to the US. Can’t find used versions of the above either.
I’m not that much of a rotisserie guy but really didn’t think it would be this difficult.
Any ideas?!
Thanks!

Well I was going to recommend the Cajun Bandit as that’s the only one I’m familiar with other than much older Weber ones which, good luck finding.

Purchased my Excellent Cajun Bandit(CB) Rotisserie Kit a couple of years ago for my Weber Performer Deluxe. In checking the CB Web Site over the last six(6) months they have been out-or-stock of these items for the Weber Kettle 22" and 26" for quite some time.

What I really like is their stainless steel Proprietary Rotisserie Ring for my Weber Kettle 22”,however, the Cajun Bandit Proprietary Rotisserie Ring for the 26” is not made of stainless steel.

Patience, my boy, patience. It will come to you at a great price in it’s own sweet time.

now, back to reality! I wish I had a realistic answer for you, but, from what I’ve seen I’d hold out for the CB unit, they are very well made!

CB has been out of stock on these kits for well over a year now. Spit rods, forks & motors can be found in many sizes at onegrill.com. The real challenge is finding or making the rotisserie ring.

I am one happy customer of both Cajun Bandit and One Grill.com.

I found this out about 5 years ago. I thought I could buy a rotisserie later, but I waited too long. A company called Cajun Bandit had one once upon a time, but they quit making them. If any company imports on in the future it will be either expensive or unobtainable. I am returning to the Beer Can Chicken roasting method. It works fabulously, moist and with a crispy skin. It is Weber's bad management decision to discontinue the accessories for the 26" grills. I don't get that business decision, but oh well life goes on. If it is so much better, I guess we can all just keep a 22" kettle around to do chickens and prime ribs on. No biggie. Right?

Is there anyone out there who makes the rings? That is the only component that is hard to obtain. I think the problem is that a 26" ring weighs enough to cause back injuries? That could explain the reluctance for manufacturers to form and weld them together. If some company does see a business need to reintroduce them, be prepared to wait in line to buy one and feel fortunate to do so.

I have since learned that, you guessed it, lawyers are involved. Some have tried to claim that a 26" kettle has legs too weak to bear the weight of the amount of meat and that it is top heavy. They claim that it encourages owners to attempt to cook whole hogs, goats, lambs and other heavy items and that the manufacturers fear lawsuits. If that situation ever changes, I'd sure like to know. I hope that CB will hang on to the list of back orders and not lose them. I am not getting any younger so CB or Weber, if you read this forum, and I know you do, don't wait too long.
