Hi all!
Heavy winds and rain here but nothing severe. My folks are very close to Coal City but sustained no damage. They spent most of the afternoon in the basement with dad listening to ham and police radios. I am an insurance adjster and am sure I will get to see some of it close up in the coming week. My thoughts go out to them....
We have a great group of neighbors that meet for Bear games and we usually cook.
Turkey was injected with Creole butter and then rubbed with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme and sage. Just a few chunks of apple. About 4 1/2 hours at around 300-320.
Last pic is after my daughter had already madeoff with one of the legs...
ABT's are whole jalapenos stuffed with chorizo cooked with habaneros and then bacon wrapped and thrown on the WSM.
