Finally pulled the trigger on the WAND. A little weird they charge $4.99 for shipping. Usually companies now-a-days give the shipping for free on $50+ orders....especially something so small.
 
My WAND was delivered yesterday. This thing is nice. Feels well built, like their BBQ thermometers and it works very well. Super easy to use.
Before getting this, we were using a $20-30 thermometer from some no-name company on Amazon. It required you to press the thermometer against the forehead and I just never felt like it gave accurate readings.

The 18% sale still going on for anyone needing a thermometer from their site.
 
Of course this morning I get an email saying the WAND thermometer I ordered is now 30% off today!
Doh! Should have just waited a week to order!

Edit: I emailed Thermoworks and they are crediting me the difference. Very nice!
