13 in. Wide Pro Laminate, Engineered Wood and Vinyl Flooring Cutter

Been there, done that, still more to do.

The problem is that once you have such a nice new floor down, it makes the other stuff look shabby. In reality, you're creating more work for yourself by putting a new floor in.

You might want to consider removing the door trim next time. The laminate/hardwood can then be put right underneath that space and then trim the trim by a half inch or so so it goes overtop of the floor (hides the edge nicely and no quarter round is needed to hide the gap--because now there is no gap :).

Nice job in any case.

solid job! I just bought my first house and am planning a few projects. The floors are new everywhere except one bathroom. It has some ugly linoleum that I would like to rip up and tile. I would also like to re tile the master and guest shower in the next year or so.
