$12 Q1200 Restore & Donate

I like the Q grills, but I have found them not so great for flips.

I have been hesitant to do them from what you have said with them not being the most profitable. I wonder with me being closer to the Madison area if I would have any luck with them. My apprehension is if the parts and time invested is worth a possible $200. $75 in parts I would guess, and a few hours worth of cleaning, blasting and painting.

If you can find a dirty Q 1200 for cheap or free you probably won't need any parts for it. Just cleaning and there's not much there to clean and maybe paint.

1200 is the easiest Q grill to flip for me. It's small enough and portable and the grill still has plenty of space for cooking plenty of food. The bigger ones are less popular because at that point people would rather get a full size two burner.

OOOPS! I thought it was $100.

I agree, the cart and lid with therm make a difference.
But I get what you're saying Bruce. You definitely have to find the right deal to make it worthwhile at least for me here. For there I can't say because I know the market's different everywhere

I can't believe you could get that grill and cart for just 12 bucks! Then be in a place where you could resell nicely had you wanted to do so.

I think what you did, though, is very satisfying and good deed that will find its reward.:smilekettle:
Jon it's very important to me to help people. I know you understand. When I'm retired I think I'm going to find some really good ways to help people.
