Just remember that the spacing on the bottom tables is different from the top ones.

Actually, do you know what the spacing is ? The bottom shelves I have for an example are a 6 slat not 9 ...

Just use one of the tables from that nice Genesis 1000 LX as a guide. On the bottom tables the slats don't start and end at the edge of the z bracket.

The one im working on is a 9 slat table for the 3000

This is easily solved in the same way one would resolve a tough decision between two lid colors. You need two grills, one with each type.
