Grill ID - Another one

Looking for some specifics on this grill. It is an older two burner, and I am thinking 500 series. But, it has one of those funky serial numbers, so I can't find a lot of info on it.

Serial Number: PL5- 34432

And, yes, I realize those are pieces of regular angle iron for flavorizer bars.

Sure looks like a Spirit 500 to me.

Weber says my grill is: "Your grill is a Spirit 500 LP, model # 551201".

So, that solves that.

Yup - you've got the "baby" (2-Burner) version of mine
Minimal Single-Bottom-Crossmember cart and cheapo-grey plastic table gives it away

But when she's cleaned-up, it will still COOK as good as ANY Weber gasser

From my little write-up on Deciphering Old Weber Gas Grill Serial Numbers:

"The Spirit 500/700 used a P instead of a K" used to indicate the Genesis 1000-5000 series grills.

Bruce, looks like you've got a regular restoration factory going on in your backyard! Wish I had room for something like that.

Chris, I looked throught that write up but didn't notice that. I have a genny 1000 that has the similar KL1 code from 1993. Yah, well, the grills have the garage and my truck sits out in the driveway. I guess we all have our priorities.
