I finally finished up the woodwork on my Genesis, so I thought I'd post a recap.

I paid $45 for it and spent about $160 on paint, wood and finishes, warming basket and shelf, catch pan and holder, cover and a propane tank.

Thanks so much to all of you for all the advice and ideas. I'm still getting used to gas grilling, but I've used it half a dozen times already and it works great. I like it so much better than something new that would have cost twice as much or been half as well-made.

Looks beautiful! I have the same one in green that I bought new in 1999, refurbed once and it's still working like the day I bought it.
