I am pleased to announce the adoption

of our new(ish) baby boy.

He was born in 1947 (I think)and we have decided to call him Hobart

I found a pic of another 1512 that was said to be born the same year BUT the toggle was on the side (beside the dial). My switch is on the back so I'm not 100% sure.

I've seen other 1512's that have a ceramic-like meat receiver that sits on an open metal framework. Mine has a flat aluminum platform (it's part of the body and not detachable). It might be just missing the removable meat receiver though.

His new parents couldn't be happier as he is a healthy and operating-perfectly 80 lb or so (I moved him once and am not going to pick him up again to verify his weight

) 1512.

If anyone has additional info to offer, I'd be pleased to hear from them.

I love my hobart streamliner.

(not my picture)

Mine comes with it's own sharpening system, so the blade is super easy to maintain. It's a little bit of pain to clean though.
