    Problems with DigiQ

Thanks for the update Mike. My DigiQ DX2 just arrived today. Hoping to try it out this weekend. The issue with these things getting too hot will be interesting here in AZ. I always keep my WSM in the shade of a patio umbrella while cooking. I'll make sure I keep this thing shaded too...

    Recycled Charcoal Question

Yep... I reuse too. Mostly in my Performer or SJS. WSM usually always gets new (only because all old get used up for regular cooks) but sometimes have some used in the middle of minion pile on a few smokes. Nothing wrong with it IMO.

    Problems with DigiQ

Mike, I'm curious to hear what you find out on this. I just ordered the DigiQ DX2. I hope these things aren't notorious for having problems. I chose it over the Stoker from Rock's BBQ because of it's compact size and price. Plan on using it on my 18.5 WSM and maybe fitting to my mini build...

    Christmas Brisket

Made a 6# Brisket for Christmas dinner. My first ever Brisket. It didn't turn out too bad for my first attempt. Wife loved it. That's all that mattered. Also made Haselback potatoes and brussel sprouts. 8 hours in I was approaching my target temp of 170. Pulled the brisket and wrapped...

    Psb

Made some Peper Stout Beef the other day. Thanks to Larry Wolfe for the recipe. I really liked it. Was a bit too peppery and hot for my wife but she ate it and said it was good. She just asked that next time I use less pepper and fewer jalapeños.

    Pot of Chili

Finally got around to trying this. Didn't make it on the grill, it was done on the stove top and I used some generic chili seasoning kit. It was good. I think the sausage makes this. I will be making it again and may try spicing it up a little more or actually getting the seasoning John...
