Picnic Pork Shoulder vs. Pork Butt

The picnic shoulder is good meat. It doesn’t shred as easily as pork butt , BUT , it’s tasty when smoked to about 200* IT . Just figure on slicing it or chopping it to make sandwiches or serve with sides. For real pulled pork I’d always use a boneless butt. Just my 2c

Shhhhh! Ribs on the Instant Pot

Boy those look great. I know everyone doesn’t feel this way but , to me, sometimes it’s just too crappy out to cook outdoors..So for winter cooking , this would work for me. ..I certainly wouldn’t turn up my nose if you put them in front of me.

    Did you guys miss me?

Ha ha...so , the last couple years have been very busy and full of changes for me vis a vis my charcoal grilling and smoking situations. After 45 years in the same place me and Sweetie sold that big old house and moved to a small ranch in the next town over. We love one floor living and we...

    Maybe a dumb question

but it is driving me a little crazy. I bought this older grill. It says silver on the handle. It’s a 2 burner. So I get the sense that it’s called a silver A , am I right ? Every reference i see when im shopping for parts or accessories refers to Genesis silver A and B....never just silver A...

...is it ok to use on cast iron enamel grates. (Weber silver A ) just curious what you all use to clean your grates. I have always just lit my grill and then brushed off the hot grates with a wire brush...but I have never had these cast iron enameled grates before so I’m kind of stumped. Any...
