I've got the opportunity to buy a 22294 Weber rotisserie. It's a European model with a 220v motor. However. I can't find that model number by Weber. Is it an older model?

Scored two AU code (2012) Performers. Green with gas assist for $35 and Black without assist for $15. Cleaned both. Green has some rust on the wire rack. Black needed new sweepers. Painted the frame and wire rack black gloss. Didn't know there was a Performer without gas assist. I might paint...

I didn't paint the inside of the firebox or lid. This lid is stainless steel.

I ordered replacement parts over the weekend. Some items were cheaper by weber, ordered the others elsewhere online. I finally finished cleaning and scraping. Ended up using an angle grinder on the inside of the lid. Should have used it on the inside of the fire box too. Repainted the lid...

You should check the yard sales on facebook for a military community near you. I just picked up a 2002 Genesis Gold C for 25 euro.

The airport you're thinking of is Weeze. It was a British military air base. It's near the Dutch border close to Düsseldorf not Mainz. There is an airport near Mainz called Hahn, but it was a USAF base until the 90's.

I think it'll be a great project. I live in the Eifel region, 1.5 hrs from Cologne (Köln or Koeln), you are right, near the Luxembourg, Belgium borders. I just passed there on my way back from judging a KCBS contest in Holland today. I'm not German, just live and work here.
